Our Committee
The Berks County Earth Day Committee is a Group of volunteers from Berks County whose sole mission is to organize a yearly
event to commemorate Earth Day, designated by Congressman Gaylord Nelson in 1970. Our committee represents local business
and environmental organizations, school groups, garden clubs, local nature centers, and others with a concern for the natural
environment.

The committee is always looking for individuals interested in helping. Tasks include: contacting local business and other
non profit organizations to invite them to our event, creating PR material, and inventing or creating children's activities
to be used during the celebration.
