The Berks County Earth Day Committee meets once a month from November - April to plan the Celebration. We encourage interested individuals to contact us about getting involved and volunteering.

Our Committee

The Berks County Earth Day Committee is a Group of volunteers from Berks County whose sole mission is to organize a yearly event to commemorate Earth Day, designated by Congressman Gaylord Nelson in 1970. Our committee represents local business and environmental organizations, school groups, garden clubs, local nature centers, and others with a concern for the natural environment.

The Berks County Earth Day Committee is a 501c3 non profit organization.

The committee is always looking for individuals interested in helping. Tasks include: contacting local business and other non profit organizations to invite them to our event, creating PR material, and inventing or creating children's activities to be used during the celebration.

Our Meetings

Our meetings are open to the public. Meetings general run 1-2 hours in duration.
